Lainston House A Review

We recently enjoyed a romantic getaway at Lainston House, a stunning 17th-century country house nestled in 63 acres of Hampshire countryside. Located just outside Winchester, it’s an ideal spot for those seeking accommodation in Winchester. Located on the outskirts of Winchester in the beautiful countryside you have easy access to the heart of Winchester, New Forest etc.

Elegant and Spacious Rooms

Our suite was beautifully appointed, blending historic charm with modern comforts. The spacious layout provided ample room for the whole family, and the luxurious bathroom featured a roll-top bath and a rainfall shower, making it a perfect retreat after a day of exploring.

Culinary Delights at Lainston House

Dining at Lainston House was a highlight. We indulged in a delightful meal at The Avenue, the hotel’s fine dining restaurant, which offers a seasonal menu crafted from locally sourced ingredients. The elegant setting and attentive service made for a memorable evening.

Family-Friendly Activities

The expansive grounds provided plenty of space for the kids to run and play. We also took advantage of the hotel’s Season Cookery School, where we participated in a fun and educational family cooking class. It’s a fantastic activity for families looking to bond over a shared experience.

Exploring the New Forest & Winchester

Lainston House’s location made it easy to explore the surrounding area. We enjoyed day trips to nearby attractions, including the New Forest National Park, which offers a variety of outdoor activities and picturesque scenery. It’s an excellent base for those seeking holidays in the New Forest.

Overall, our stay at Lainston House was a wonderful experience. The combination of luxurious accommodations, exceptional dining, and family-friendly activities makes it a top choice for anyone planning a short break in the New Forest.
