Opened in April 2015, The Courtyard has grown into one of Southsea’s most popular dining spots. Our location is truly unique—set within Henry VIII’s 1544 coastal defence fort, where he famously watched the sinking of the Mary Rose. Today, Southsea Castle offers visitors dramatic rampart views, historic cannons, and a fascinating museum, making your dining experience unforgettable.

The Courtyard is available for private hire for parties, corporate events, and weddings. As the exclusive caterer for weddings at Southsea Castle, we offer tailored menus ranging from formal four-course dinners to hog roasts and traditional fish & chips.
Our team has proudly catered for major Portsmouth events, including the Americas World Cup VIP banquet, Victorious Festival artists and crew, and even Princess Anne’s official visit to open the D-Day landing craft.
