Watercress Lodges sits close to Watercress Line, the much-loved heritage steam railway running between Alton and Alresford. The site supports the railway and reflects its character, with lodges designed to resemble traditional railway cottages. Each lodge is named after stations on the historic Alton to Winchester line.

You are also perfectly placed to explore the charming village of Ropley and enjoy artisan cafés in Alresford. It is an ideal base for walking, cycling and discovering the Hampshire countryside.

Self-Catering Lodges with Home Comforts

The self-catering lodges offer modern, comfortable accommodation with countryside views. Each lodge sleeps up to six guests across two bedrooms.

Inside, you will find a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, a spacious lounge with dining area and Freeview TV, plus board games for cosy evenings. A utility room includes a washing machine and tumble dryer, making longer stays easy.

Outside, enjoy your private patio with picnic bench and optional BBQ. Linen and towels are included, WiFi is available and selected lodges are pet friendly.

Safari Tents and Bell Tents for Glamping Lovers

Want the outdoor feel without losing comfort? The safari tents, Annie and Clarabel, blend camping with luxury. Raised wooden platforms, plush furnishings and a wood-burning stove create a relaxed glamping experience.

Each tent sleeps four and includes a king-size bed, sofa bed, veranda, gas hob and fridge. It is camping, but done properly.

There is also a ready-erected bell tent available from April to September, perfect for simple stays without the setup stress.

The landscaped campsite offers stunning Hampshire views and a peaceful setting. Facilities include a modern shower and toilet block, plus an ice-block freezer for campers.

Tent pitches are spacious, and the site maintains a calm atmosphere by keeping cars off the grass. Please note that caravans and motorhomes are not permitted.
