Get Creative with Clay

Each Wine and Pottery Saturday focuses on a different creative theme, giving participants the chance to learn new pottery techniques and explore exciting ideas throughout the year.

Experienced tutors will guide you through the process of hand-building with clay, helping you create a unique ceramic piece from start to finish. You can follow the monthly theme or bring along your own ideas and projects if you prefer.

The sessions are designed to encourage creativity while allowing everyone to work at their own pace.

No previous pottery experience is required, making this workshop suitable for complete beginners as well as those with more experience.

A Relaxed and Social Pottery Experience

Unlike structured courses, Wine and Pottery Saturdays focus on enjoyment, creativity and spending time with others.

The informal atmosphere makes it easy to relax, meet new people and enjoy the process of making something with your own hands. Many participants return month after month to explore new themes, develop their skills and enjoy a regular creative escape.

Whether you arrive with friends or attend on your own, you will quickly feel part of Fatclay's welcoming pottery community.

Create a Handmade Piece to Treasure

One of the most rewarding parts of the workshop is taking an idea and transforming it into a finished ceramic creation.

Throughout the session, you will shape, build and personalise your pottery piece using clay and pottery tools. Once complete, your work will be professionally fired, creating a lasting keepsake that you can proudly display or use at home.

Every creation is unique, making each workshop a truly personal experience.

Discover the Benefits of Pottery

Working with clay offers far more than just a creative outlet.

Many people find pottery relaxing, mindful and therapeutic. It encourages focus, creativity and self-expression while providing a welcome break from busy everyday life.
