If you are looking for Christmas events in Hampshire, local markets or festive things to do in the New Forest, Eats ‘n’ Treats is one for the diary.
Food is at the heart of Eats ‘n’ Treats.
The event gives visitors the chance to discover and sample some of the finest locally produced food and drink from businesses in and around the New Forest.
Previous Eats ‘n’ Treats events have attracted dozens of local traders, with everything from artisan food to handmade gifts and festive treats. The 2025 event featured more than 70 traders.
There will also be a pop-up bar and food court at the 2026 event, so you can stop for something to eat or drink while you explore.
Get ahead with your Christmas shopping
Eats ‘n’ Treats takes place just as Christmas shopping starts to gather pace.
Rather than heading straight to the high street, the event offers an opportunity to discover products from independent and local producers.
It could be a great place to find something a little different for Christmas while supporting businesses from the surrounding area.
For anyone who enjoys shopping local, Christmas markets and discovering Hampshire producers, there should be plenty to explore.
Live music and demonstrations
There is more to the day than shopping and food.
Visitors can enjoy live music performances and how-to demonstrations throughout the event.
Previous years have included demonstrations from local chefs, makers and other experts, adding an interactive element to the day.
Family-friendly Christmas day out
Eats ‘n’ Treats is also designed with families in mind.
Organisers have confirmed there will be plenty of activities to keep children occupied during the 2026 event.
That makes it worth considering if you are searching for the best family days out in Hampshire as Christmas approaches.
Combine festive shopping with food, entertainment and children's activities for an easy Sunday outing in the New Forest.
