Get Ready for the Dig Quiz
How good is your general knowledge? And more importantly, how much do you know about archaeology?
By popular request, Ian and Angela are taking charge of the questions for an evening designed to get everyone thinking.
The quiz will cover a variety of subjects, with at least one round dedicated to archaeology.
You certainly don't need to be an archaeology expert to join in. The evening combines the quiz with food and a sociable atmosphere at Amesbury History Centre.
Homemade Supper Included
Quiz night is always better with food.
Supper will be prepared by Amesbury History Centre volunteer Angela Broster, who is also the centre's in-house cake baker.
The main supper will be lasagne served with garlic bread and a green salad.
A vegan lasagne will also be available, served with garlic bread and salad. The organiser states that this alternative will also be Free From.
Anyone with allergies or specific dietary requirements should contact Amesbury History Centre before attending to confirm whether the meal is suitable for them.
Make an Evening of It
The event runs until 10pm, so this isn't a quick-fire pub quiz.
Instead, the quiz and supper will run through most of the evening, giving guests plenty of time to eat, tackle the questions and enjoy the company.
A bar will also be open at Amesbury History Centre, with drinks available to purchase throughout the event.
It could make a fun midweek evening with friends or something a little different for anyone interested in local history and archaeology.
