Learn How to Glaze Pottery

Glazing can completely transform a finished pot, but understanding the different techniques, mixtures and finishes can take practice.

During this creative pottery course, you'll learn about the glazing process through practical demonstrations and expert guidance.

The day covers a variety of techniques and procedures, including working with powder glazes, mixing, sieving and testing.

Prepare and Use Your Own Glaze

You'll have the opportunity to prepare your own glaze before using it to decorate two pottery pieces.

Pots can be provided by Dave, or you can bring suitable pieces previously created during a Vinegar Hill Pottery One Day or Development course.

Once decorated, your pots will be fired again and made available for collection at a later date.

A Relaxed Creative Day

This isn't simply a pottery lesson. The experience has been designed as an enjoyable day where you can spend time developing your creativity and learning new skills.

Tea and cake are included in the morning, followed by a two-course lunch prepared by a chef.
