Rather than everyone recreating the same artwork, this Paint Chill Co. session is all about your pet.

Bring along a clear A4 colour printout of your chosen furry friend and use it as the starting point for your portrait.

Your instructor will guide you through easy-to-follow stages, helping you capture the features and personality of your pet on canvas.

You don't need to know how to draw. The photograph will be used to help trace the initial outline before you begin painting.

Choosing the perfect pet photo

Picking the right photograph will make creating your portrait much easier.

Choose a clear image where your pet's face fills most of the A4 page. Ideally, the photograph should show their full face and ears without cropping important features.

Portrait photographs cropped around the torso work particularly well.

Paint Chill Co. recommends increasing the contrast and saturation slightly before printing. This makes highlights and shadows easier to identify while painting.

If your pet has particularly dark fur, choose a well-lit photograph so you can clearly see its definition.

Your photograph should be printed in full colour, and only one pet should appear in the image.

Aprons are provided, but there is always a chance of getting paint on your clothing. Wear something you won't mind getting a little messy.

Tickets can be transferred to another date up to seven days before the event. After this point, another person can attend in your place.
