Vyne Line 2026 – Free Shuttle Bus from Basingstoke to The Vyne

The Vyne Line is a free Saturday shuttle bus connecting Basingstoke Train Station with National Trust property The Vyne throughout summer 2026.

Running every Saturday from 25 July until 12 September 2026, the service makes it easier to enjoy a day at The Vyne without needing to drive.

The shuttle is free to use, although advance booking is essential and normal admission to The Vyne applies.

Planning a day out at The Vyne but don't want to drive?

The Vyne Line provides a convenient connection between Basingstoke Train Station and The Vyne, with just one journey in each direction.

Catch the shuttle at 11am and you'll arrive at The Vyne at approximately 11.20am.

You'll then have more than five hours to explore before the return shuttle leaves at 4.30pm.

Spend the Day Exploring The Vyne

The timetable gives visitors plenty of time to discover this historic National Trust property and its surroundings.

Explore the house, wander through the gardens and enjoy the wider estate before returning to Basingstoke later that afternoon.

It's particularly useful for visitors travelling into Hampshire by train or anyone looking for car-free things to do in Hampshire.

Where Does the Vyne Line Leave From?

The minibus departs from the National Express Bus Stop opposite Basingstoke Train Station.

Passengers should arrive 10 minutes before departure.

The bus leaves at the stated departure time, so allow plenty of time to reach the collection point.

Is the Vyne Line Accessible?

The minibus has lift access at the rear and low-step access at the front.

It can accommodate one wheelchair or stroller per journey. You must tell the team in advance if you need either space.

Families travelling with infants must bring their own car seat and mention this when booking.
